Watching the Scottish Open...

I was watching the Scottish Open yesterday on the TV (only thing to do in this hot weather! - I'm still very hot late at night writing this) watching the players tee-off and play their rounds. I was surprised at how much unnecessary tension and effort was going on there and these are professionals! It is usually much less obvious in more athletic sportsmen (no insult intended). I was surprised at how stiff some of them were considering they actually need to move through a wide range of movement to swing a club.

You never know, maybe they'll work out that flexibility is a key part of playing golf and I am looking forward to the day.

If I were to be pushy, I would also love them to putt without squishing themselves over the club and the ball so they actually would have room to make the putt and get the ball in the hole even more often!!

If you play golf, just remember how much more you could achieve with more flexibility and less squishing! In fact, I think a lot of us could benefit from that too...
