Great One Day Workshop!

I taught a really enjoyable one day workshop yesterday. There were 12 students and we explored the Alexander Technique in a range of activities. We started with an introduction and goals, followed by the first round of experiential (hands on) lessons. After lunch we had another round of experiential sessions exploring activites such as: walking, running, sewing, working on a computer and standing.

The participants had a range of interests but all of them wanted to improve their posture. We spent the day having lots of fun and enjoying this exploration of how we can improve ourselves, our posture and how we move in every day activities. We discussed lots of different questions and talked about how problems such as back pain, shoulder and neck pain and sore joints we can reduce by applying the Alexander Technique to them.

Everyone enjoyed the day and so did I. It was great fun teaching so many enthusiastic, open minded people who wanted to find out how they could improve themselves.
