I had fun at the weekend and even managed to fit in a quick lesson!

I spent the weekend up in Birmingham at the current ITM teacher training course, helping out and generally enjoying myself (watching the Eurovision Song Contest - who voted for Finland???).

I love going up to these weekends when I can make it because I get to learn more about the Alexander Technique, see other people interacting with it and seeing how they are improving and changing.

I even managed to get a lesson with another teaching on walking, it was great. It challenged me to think about my walking and how I was doing it. Since then my ankles (!) have been completely different, my walking is easier and standing is too. All from one little lesson, what joy!

Back From Holiday...

I've been on holiday for a couple of weeks, now I've come back home and gone back to the day job. It was a shock really, having to keep work hours, trying to get back into the swing of things.

I did, however, get back into my teaching routine pretty quickly and it was great fun. Catching up with people about how things had been going. I carried on my holiday mood easily into my teaching!

My holiday did have the desired impact, I relaxed, caught up with my sleep and renewed my batteries. The key thing now is, as I spoke about in my last newsletter, for me to stay that way by creating some detachment between me and stressful situations so that whilst I am resolving them I am not taking them inwards and creating internal stress for myself.

In the past week I have had a couple of situations like it and so far, so good. I am still feel chilled out and relaxed!!

If you've had a hell of a week. Spending some time relaxing and chilling out and when you have done that, start thinking about creating that detachment from the stressful situation!!
