Are you present?

The other day I was reading one of the daily entries from 15 steps to relax, relieve, restore meditation series by Wild Divine.

"you are not simply a mind; you are a body too. Sometimes its easy to forget you have a body altogether until you get hungry, get a headache or you have to use the bathroom."

It got me thinking: I would add "or until you feel aches or pains from what you are doing".

I understand that its easy to forget your body but when you do, it will remind you some how.

What if we paid attention to our bodies, how we moved, what we did with them so we could look after our bodies rather than abuse them! Remember, if we look after our bodies, they'll look after us!

Body clutter?

We've probably all heard about mental clutter filling up our headspace
Stopping us thinking clearly, contributing to our own stress and getting in the way of us being ourselves
Clearing mental clutter can be challenging as we want a quick solution rather than looking at the underlying causes
Meditation, deep breathing, exercise, time in nature can all help clear mental clutter
But what about body clutter, ever thought about it?
Adding in extra physical effort and unneccessary tension
Creating background tension that we stop noticing and just live with
This also contributes to our daily stress and stops us doing what we want easily
The solution to reducing/getting rid of body clutter?
Alexander Technique, of course
Instead of exercising with and living within the same body clutter clear your background clutter by stopping unnecessary muscular tension
Don't know how?
Learn the Alexander Technique to discover a clutter free body!
